A Period of Peace
155 A.
This is my first body of work dedicated entirely to capturing and showcasing a single location. Over the past month, I’ve been exploring 155 acres of a quiet transformation that’s been happening since 2016 in Woodbridge, Connecticut. Once an active country club golf course alive with the hum of golf carts and manicured greens, it now breathes in solitude. I discovered the site in the summer of 2025 and was immediately captivated by its atmosphere. Over the past month, I’ve returned again and again. Some parts of the land are still lightly maintained, but most have been left to grow wild. Fairways have softened into meadows, and the once scripted landscape has become untamed, complex, and unpredictable.
This series is an attempt to document the revitalized life of the area for the locals of Woodbridge, and for residents across Connecticut who value the quiet persistence of nature. The town is currently considering plans to redevelop a portion of the property. My hope is that these photographs serve as both a record and a reminder to preserve the memory of this landscape as it stands now, in its rare state of return, and to inspire thoughtful conversation about what comes next.
