“The Connecticut landscape is rich and varied with farmland, barns, coastal views, and sweeping treetop scenes. All playing an important part in how our state is seen and celebrated. But for me, there has always been a quiet, missing piece…..the forest itself.

While those familiar images capture Connecticut’s charm, they often overlook the intimacy, complexity, and raw wildness found beneath the canopy. Our forests hold a depth and character that rarely make their way into the spotlight. And without seeing this side of the landscape, I fear people may not fully recognize why it’s worth protecting.

That’s why I’ve made it my mission to wander into the woods as often as I can, to photograph the forest as it truly is, and to help give this overlooked part of Connecticut’s beauty the representation it deserves.”
